The Livestock Class

A black and white image of a herd of cows looking menacing.

I have been thinking (he writes as if his brain will allow him to do anything else, ever) about the policies being imposed on the proletariat by the power elite. Particularly, the policies that have been imposed on us as of late, since the onset of the pandemic. You know the one that we are not supposed to talk about? The one that was supposed to magically disappear one day. The one that mysteriously keeps coming back to ravage still more segments of the population despite the whole lot of nothing done by anyone with significant political power to do anything meaningful about it. . .

I digress.

In all this thinking, it occurred to me that never, in my lifetime, has there been a moment where it has been more obvious that the people that "run the show" as it were have no regard for anyone, but especially not for any person that is a member of any socioeconomic class below them. To the power elite we are all of us nothing more than livestock that is to be used to produce for their wishes and to be discarded when we can no longer produce for them. We are nameless animals in service of their selfish desires.

If you work for a living, meaning that with some regularity you expend a portion of your natural freedom to produce something of value that is commodified, whether tangible or not, by a third party that reaps the rewards of that labor, you are part of the livestock class. Make no mistake, no matter how much money you accumulate, if you have the need to engage in labor, as I have described it previously, in order to generate your wealth, you are in fact part of the livestock class and therefore beneath the power elite in their estimation of reality.

Looking back on the last couple of years. It has become clear that the power elite would like nothing more than for us to breed incessantly, join the work force the moment that our potential for productivity exceeds our potential for liability by the most minimal fraction, and labor for them for the lowest possible wage until our bodies break. They have pushed policies restricting access to abortion and contraception citing all manner of nonsense cloaked with a thin veneer of religiosity to court the self-appointed righteous amongst to their crusade in order to achieve the first goal. They have pushed to eliminate regulation with regard to child labor as of late and have recruited soon to be newly minted working class adults into the ranks of their global enforcement gang with the gilded luster of patriotism for as long as I can remember in pursuit of achieving the second goal. They have continued to pursue union busting, the erosion of a variety of workers rights, and the elimination of both regulation and regulatory bodies in order to ensure that the proletariat maximize productivity at the expense of  our own bodies while ensuring that the law of the land allows them to minimize their burden of liability for any and all damages resulting from this flagrant abuse.

Let me be clear, if you are reading this, you are part of the livestock class. You may choose to stick your head in the sand all your like, but reality will always be there waiting for you when you eventually need to leave your fantasy world to come up for air. There is no war but class war and the war is a top-down affair. There are no true parallel enemies other than those that have been fabricated by the power elite in order to distract and divide the proletariat from realizing, concentrating, and utilizing our full gargantuan power. They are the aggressor. They have always been the aggressor. All too often the initiator of hostilities is the more fearful party. This is one such case. They would love nothing more than for us to remain their docile domesticated livestock because they fear us.

We are the proletariat, they depend on us, and they should have every reason to fear us.
